NCAT is a method that has been...Hi SomeDaySomeSay,<br /><br />NCAT is a method that has been taught to me over the years through my sessions with a very wise clinical psychologist. It is a method that we seemed to revisit over and over again during my own personal sessions throughout the years. After a while, I realized that NCAT can be applied to most all situations. <br /><br />I personally use it to help me in times of stress or anxiousness, however, it is also worth using to prevent emotionally charged, knee-jerk decision making that may come back to haunt. <br /><br />I would also add, that in the "Accept it" phase, its important to never mistake that as ambivalence or capitulation. It is really accepting and embracing the reality of what is happening so that you can gain control of your thoughts and emotions to see the problem through a clear lens.
